Come join in the fun and be inspired with lots of ideas to improve family relationships...and make a gift for a loved one! Relief Society Meeting February 15th, 2012

Our Relief Society Meeting for February will consist of learning ways to create more love at home and to strengthen relationships.  Our "sharing table" will be filled with ideas from our ward sisters about how they build love in their relationships (thanks to Heather Kenworthy for putting this together).

Under the direction of Donna McNew, we will be making platters by gluing together a base (candlestick/holder, sunday glass, vase ???) and a plate (or bowl or any other thing that might work).  We will have a variety of both from which to choose (for $1.00 each or many that are free), or you can bring your own combination. Look through that china closet and your seasonal holiday storage for somethings that would be charming! Check out The Dollar Tree and Deseret Industries (no need to pay more than 50 cents to one dollar per item unless you want to...). We will have the glue.

Once you have done the gluing (and it is drying) we will have sugar cookies to decorate (thanks Jane Ann and crew) to place on the plate to take home to give to someone you love. You will also have the option to wrap your gift in cellophane, tie it with a bow (with help and ideas from Jaimi Morse) and attach a card of your own making.  Alisa Aston and her daughters will have materials for card making and help us come up with some fun designs.
Thanks to everyone for helping!!!

There will also be a project to work on for humanitarian service if you get done with the craft (or want to do it instead of the craft).  You will also be  able to take the service project home to work on it if you prefer.

Please come for a fun, relaxing, inspiring evening...
See you on the 15th!!!

Here are some samples of the platters we will be making. Some of these are three tiered, but we will plan on making two tiered platters for our craft project...
